Why don’t you have a day-of coordination option?
Because great coordination starts long before the wedding day.
We want to know your wedding—not just the basics, but the details, the vendors, the plans, and all the little things that matter to you. It takes time to understand your vision, build relationships with your vendor team, and anticipate what might come up. We also see ourselves as the leader of your vendor team. To do that well, we need to know who we’re working with, what each vendor is providing, and what they need to do their best work.
That’s why our coordination begins before your wedding day. By the time we arrive, we aren’t learning your wedding—we know it.
My venue has a venue coordinator, why do I need to hire a wedding coordinator?
A venue coordinator and a wedding coordinator have two very different jobs. Your venue coordinator works for the venue. Their focus is the venue itself—its policies, staff, spaces, and venue-related logistics.
Your wedding coordinator works for you. We focus on your timeline, your vendors, your plans, your guests, your personal details, and making sure your vision comes together the way you imagined it. Think of your wedding coordinator as your point person for the day. While you’re busy getting married and celebrating, we’re keeping track of the moving pieces, communicating with your vendor team, solving problems, and making sure everything stays on course.
The venue coordinator takes care of the venue. We take care of you and your wedding.
Why should we hire a wedding planner if we think we can do it ourselves?
You absolutely can—and if you love planning, we’re here to support you, not take it away from you.
A planner brings experience, perspective, organization, and a calm voice when there are a hundred decisions to make. We know the questions to ask, the details that are easy to miss, and how to keep all the moving pieces on track.
Most importantly, you shouldn’t have to manage your own wedding while you’re trying to enjoy it.
You can plan your wedding yourself. We’re here to make sure you don’t have to do it all yourself.
I want to get married in 2 or 3 months and I have not planned a thing. Can you help?

Private Estate / Backyard Weddings
Can you plan a wedding at our home?
Absolutely. In fact, private-property weddings are some of our favorites.
A backyard or private estate gives you a lot of freedom—you aren’t limited by a traditional venue’s layout, rules, or design. But it also means you have to create many of the things a traditional venue would normally provide.
We can help with everything from rentals, layouts, power, lighting, parking, restrooms, and catering logistics to vendor coordination and the wedding-day timeline. We’ll help turn the property into a functional event space while still making it feel like home.
Is a backyard wedding less expensive than a traditional venue?
Not necessarily. A backyard wedding can eliminate a traditional venue rental fee, but you may need to bring in many of the things a venue normally provides—tables, chairs, catering equipment, restrooms, power, lighting, trash removal, parking solutions, and more.
That doesn’t mean a backyard wedding isn’t a great value. It simply means the budget looks different. We can help you understand the true costs early on so you can make informed decisions before committing to the space.
What does planning a backyard wedding involve that we might not think about?
With a private property, we have to think about how guests arrive, where they park, where vendors load in, where catering will prep, where rentals will go, where trash will be collected, how power will work, where restrooms will be located, how guests will move through the property, and what happens if the weather changes.
Then there are the details you would have with any wedding—your vendors, timeline, ceremony, reception, design, guest experience, and all the little pieces that need to work together.
Our job is to look at the property from an event-planning perspective and identify those needs before they become problems.
Can you help us figure out if our property will work for a wedding?
Yes—and this is something we recommend doing before you get too far into planning.
We’ll look at the size and layout of the property, guest count, access for vendors and rentals, parking, power, restrooms, catering needs, noise considerations, and the overall flow of the event.
Sometimes a property that looks perfect for a wedding needs a little creative problem-solving. Sometimes there are limitations that are important to know about upfront. We’d much rather identify those things early than discover them a few weeks before the wedding.
Do you offer a different package for backyard / private estate weddings?
Yes. Private-property weddings typically require more logistics and more advance planning than a traditional coordination wedding, so our Backyard Coordination service begins earlier—three months before the wedding.
That gives us time to work through the property-specific logistics, coordinate rentals and vendors, create the layout and timeline, and make sure all the behind-the-scenes pieces are in place before wedding day.
A backyard wedding may feel relaxed, but getting it to feel that way takes a lot of planning.
