FAQ for your wedding planner

Why don’t you have a day-of coordination option?

Our goal is to treat your wedding as if it were our own.  With that, we want to be experts on your wedding and be able to answer any question asked during the set-up, ceremony, reception and clean-up.  As fantastic as our team is, there is no way we can become experts in just a few days on something you spent months, or maybe even years planning.  We also are the leaders of your vendor team.  We need to be familiar with them, their needs and what their service package is for you so that we can actually lead and do our best to support them so they can do their best job for you.

My venue has a venue coordinator, why do I need to hire a wedding coordinator?

There are a lot of moving parts to a wedding ceremony and reception.  It really is a production even if your vision is very casual.  A venue coordinator is responsible for all aspects related to the venue, venue staff and possibly catering.  A venue coordinator works for the venue and their primary concern is the venue and its functions.  A wedding coordinator is responsible for your vision, working with your vendor team and implementing your personal plans and decor that are not directly related to the venue.  A wedding coordinator works for you and therefore, the priority is you.  It is really like your wedding coordinator is your brain for the day.

How many team members will be at my wedding?

Every wedding has at least one assistant with the lead coordinator.  Depending on the guest list size, if the ceremony venue and reception venue are in the same location, and how much personal decor (as in not rented or brought in from another vendor) you have, we will determine if additional assistants are needed and if so, how many.

How many weddings do you plan for one date?

We do not schedule more than one wedding per date so that if the lead coordinator gets sick, we have someone prepared to replace her.  In addition, each coordinator will only be scheduled to lead 2 weddings per month so that she can give the attention needed to each wedding.

I want to get married in 2 or 3 months and I have not planned a thing.  Can you help?

Yes, if we have availability on our calendar, we would love to work quickly for you!

I work a regular 9 to 5 job and will have trouble having meetings with you during the day.  When are you available to schedule our meetings?

We can accommodate your work schedule to make planning as least stressful as possible for you.

How do your payments work?

Depending on if you are booking us for full planning or month of coordination, your payments are broken into 3 or 4 payments, with 25% of the total due at booking.  We take credit cards, zelle, cash or checks.

What is the average budget of the clients you serve?

The average budget we work with is the $50k to $70k range.  However, we have done weddings up to $200k and a few who did not have to pay venue fees (for example in their backyard) with budgets of $20k.

Do you do destination weddings?

At this time, we will plan a CA destination wedding for anyone living outside of CA or living within CA wanting to get married anywhere in the San Luis Obispo area and south to San Diego.

Do you manage our guest list, invitations and RSVP’s?

We can for an additional fee.  That service is not included in our starting rate for full planning.

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes, we have $1 million liability insurance.
